May’s Theme | Mindfulness

Our theme for May is “Mindfulness.”


The clinical definition of Mindfulness is “paying attention to something, in a particular way, on purpose, in the present moment, non-judgmentally.

In April, we focused on stress and anxiety. Did you know that Mindfulness can assist you with dealing with both stress and anxiety? Through the practices such as we offer at Meditate Madison, i.e. meditation, yoga, sound healing, spirituality and other wellness practices, you can learn to clear your mind, and not be so overwhelmed. In all, these practices bring a deep relaxation to your mind, body and spirit.

Attend one of the varied classes and/or programs this month as we explore this focus of applying mindfulness to our daily lives.

Our schedule has changed slightly with new offerings and day/time changes for others. Below you will find our classes, workshops and other events for this month as well as the personal sessions available to you with Deb Phelps and Dineen Carta.


Be sure to check the online calendar in case of schedule changes. Please note that there is a 2-hour registration requirement for classes. Workshops and other events may vary.

Our 5 and 10 session class passes are available for our $10 per session weekly classes.

Mindfulness in Everyday Life
Does this sound like you? You walk around with so many thoughts swirling around in your head at any given moment in time that you can feel as if you are unfocused, in a fog, overwhelmed and your mind never having a chance to truly rest. Mindfulness Meditation will help to unclutter and clear your mind, and bring calm. Join Deb Mondays at 7 pm starting May 6th.

Rest, Relax, & Renew Series
Each week is a different practice to bring you a sense of relaxation. These include: Healing Meditations for Stress Reduction, Restorative Yoga with Energy Healing, Sound Bath with the Crystal Singing Bowls, and Conscious Relaxation. Attend one or all four sessions. Join Deb & Dineen on Tuesdays at 7 pm starting May 7th

Guided Meditation for Calming the Mind
Inner Peace – that one thing that we long to find but it often seems so very elusive. Meditation is one of those beautiful tools that is designed to help you quiet mind chatter, focus inward, and explore the limitless realm of your heart and soul. 

Peaceful Yoga-for-All
These classes incorporate gentle movement and meditation, each taking about half of the class session. It’s available to anyone no matter your size, shape or ability. Props are provided such as chairs, blocks, straps, walls, bolsters, and mats. You can sit in a chair for many of the poses if you need to do so.

A Course in Miracles Study Group
This ongoing group meets to share in the study of the spiritual book A Course in Miracles. The emphasis is on the way to universal love and peace is undoing guilt by forgiving others. See this link for more information.
