This month’s theme in the Peaceful Wellness Virtual Studio is on “Well-Being.” The offerings this month here in the virtual studio will reflect this theme. See the video.
Stop for a moment and ask yourself, “What Does Well-Being mean to me?”
Does it include:
- your relationships (social)
- your emotions (emotional)
- your body (physical)
- your thoughts (mental)
- your finances (financial)
- the environment (environmental)
- your spirit (spiritual)
I would be interested to hear what well-being means to you, so feel free to comment below.
What influences Well-Being?
Basically, every aspect of your life influences your state of well-being. Researchers investigating happiness have found the following factors enhance an individuals well-being.
- an enjoyable and fulfilling career
- adequate money
- regular exercise
- a balanced diet (food and water)
- sufficient sleep
- an intimate relationship with a partner
- a network of close friends
- a sense of belonging
- the ability to adapt to change
- a safe physical environment (home and environmental)
- a sense of purpose and meaning
- all of the above factors are interrelated.
What do you think about these influences? Do you recognize any within yourself? Would you add anything to this list?
This month we’ll also be focused on the Sacral Chakra. It is the center of feeling, emotion, pleasure, intimacy, and connection. We’ll also look at setting and maintaining healthy boundaries, learn how to create a mind, body, spirit wellness plan, and how to counter the effects of stress.
I’ll include meditations, particularly mindfulness practices, Body Positive yoga sequences, an essential oils recipe, sound healing recording, worksheets, and the like as we embark on the journey into Well-Being. Access to most of these materials depends on your membership level.
If you are on the membership levels that include private session(s) we can explore this further if you like. I’d love to hear your thoughts along the way.
Virtual Studio Now Open
As most business owners, I, too, was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and had to temporarily close. My business was formerly known as Meditate Madison. During this time of the pandemic, I wanted to be able to serve not only my clientele here in Madison but all of those who follow me online through Facebook and Instagram (Meditate with Deb).
Because I have taken this time to complete training programs that will be assistance to those I serve, and including the modalities I was already offering, I felt the name change to Peaceful Wellness was now appropriate.
And since too, it will be some time before I could even consider hosting group sessions in my office space, I was guided to create this Virtual Studio so anyone could take part in meditations, classes and other mind-body-spirit modalities as well as explore private sessions. I look forward to joining with you in this virtual way. There are four membership levels which will give you access to audio guided meditations, video classes, courses and monthly or weekly private sessions with me at a discount.
By your membership you are helping me to maintain my office space with the income to pay rent, insurance, and other expenses
so when the time comes that I can reopen for group and individual sessions I can do so.
Thank you! I have a heart full of gratitude for your support!
